Process

I take photographs wherever I travel- Mexico, Spain, England, Italy,
Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Japan, and many cities throughout the U.S.
including my favorites-New Orleans, St.Louis, L.A., San Francisco, Austin,
Boston and N.Y.C.
From these slides I have full frame, archival, laminated prints made
which I adhere to a larger board (plywood) and then treat the surrounding
surface with a spackle-like material to prepare for painting.  Usually I do
not paint on the photograph, although there are exceptions.  Next I paint
out from the photograph creating a surreal or different reality surrounding
the photo/focal point.
